GENERAL POLICIES
Facility may be used by SRC affiliated groups or organizations for scheduled activities and practices.
The Facility will be open from dawn to ½ hour past sunset unless events are scheduled through Sylvania Recreation.
- Moving/modifying any sports equipment is strictly prohibited
- Camping is not permitted
- Parking permitted in designated areas only
- Recreational vehicle or bus parking is not permitted
- Off-road vehicles are not permitted
- Alcohol is not permitted
- Grills are not permitted
- Pets are permitted on designated paths only and must remain on a leash
- Golfing is not permitted
- Smoking is not permitted
- Soliciting is not permitted
- Foul language is not permitted
WEATHER RELATED POLICIES
Pacesetter Park will be open for use as weather and field conditions permit. Sylvania Recreation will be responsible for athletic field closures when conditions dictate.
- Lightning Detection System -This automated system is designed for park patron’s Users must comply with the following while at Pacesetter Park.
- Solid continuous tone – all activities must be suspended; patrons must seek shelter immediately
- Hi-Lo tone – activities can
- Lightning Light – A yellow flashing light, located at the park office, will remain flashing when lighting has been detected in the immediate area
- Red & Green Flag – Located at both entrances to the park
- The Green flag – The Athletic Fields are open
- The Red flag – The Athletic Fields are closed
- Closure signage – A closure sign, located along the entrances will notify users of facility closures
- Weather Line -Users can call 419-882-1500 x506 for field closures/cancellation Messages will be updated by 3pm daily
- Tornado Siren – If the tornado siren sounds, all games and practices MUST be All patrons must seek shelter. Shelter at the park is limited

BIKE TRAILS
- Motorized vehicles prohibited
- Open Dawn to Dusk
- Pets permitted on leash only
- Bicyclists must yield to others
- All protective gear must be worn
- Yield to all emergency and maintenance equipment
- Keep to the right
- Warn all users when passing
- Pass only on the left
SKATE PLAZA
- Helmets, elbow pads, wrist guards and knee pads recommended
- Skating is restricted to Designed Skating Areas
- Temporary obstacles used for skating are not permitted
- Pets are not permitted in skating areas
- Profanity/Abusive language not permitted
- Food/beverage is not permitted on the skating surfaces
- Any and all types of bicycles and scooters are not permitted
- Organized events must be approved by Sylvania Recreation District
- Supervision recommended for children under the age of 13
- All other park rules apply
ATHLETIC FIELDS
- Practicing permitted with permit only
- All games must be scheduled through Sylvania Recreation
- Trash removal is the direct responsibility of the players, coaches and patrons
- Athletic equipment may not be tampered with, modified or moved from its location by anyone other than Sylvania Recreation Staff
- Anyone utilizing personal athletic equipment while at Sylvania Recreation facilities assumes all liability associated with such use. This equipment must be removed after each use.
- Sylvania Recreation staff will make all decision related to cancellations/closures due to weather or field conditions
Sylvania Recreation Corporation, by its Board of Directors has established these rules for all users of the District facilities. Sylvania Recreation Corporation Board of Directors may alter, change or add any rules they deem necessary. Failure to follow these rules could result in:
- Revoking of permit for that group
- The host/user group will be held financially responsible for damages
- The host/user group may be come liable for any and all litigation due to their actions
